Dynan and Dain Telaerin,
twin Princes of the Kingdom of Britallia – just your average happy-go-lucky
princes, trying to escape bodyguards, meet girls and get into the sort of
trouble that any young man would enjoy. Unfortunately, being princes, they have
a destiny that limits their fun – and brings trouble in the form of warring
ancestors, legendary heroes, demons from the other side and a surprising
encounter with a long-dead Queen who’s livelier than you might expect.
A cracking fantasy
adventure, with well-formed characters expertly drawn, this will entertain and
enthral. The main protagonists are sixteen – and the challenges of being a
teenage prince are not glossed over – but this will appeal to older readers too.
The main story romps along at a good pace, and the ending is neatly handled.
It’s let down slightly by a few silly spelling mistakes.
